Your turn first: play, then press End your turn. Their turn is shown one move at a time — press Continue (or Space) to go on — we pause whenever you can respond. Passing is often right: the lesson is when to stop passing.

Details

Your turn 9, then theirs, then yours. You're on 5; you hold A (Altar to Unity) with a Vanguard Sergeant (4) and Horns of the Dragon (6, [Tank]) and Scored it this turn — the Altar's Recruit rests exhausted at your base. Also at base, ready: Seraphine, Inspiring (3 — [Disarm 2]: "When I attack, give an enemy unit here -2 Might this turn") and a Recruit. Viktor (Herald of the Arcane, on 4) holds B with Viktor, Leader (4, exhausted); Thousand-Tailed Watcher (7) and Xin Zhao, Vigilant (4, [Tank]) rest at his base and will be ready on his turn, when they're coming for B. His runes are all tapped now. You hold Hidden Blade (2 Energy + Order — [Hidden]: hide it for [A] at a battlefield you control, and from your next turn on play it as a [Reaction] for 0; [Action]: kill a unit at a battlefield, its controller draws 2) and High Note (3 Energy, [Reaction]: give a unit -Might this turn equal to the number of exhausted units you control), with one ready rune and seven tapped ones — a tapped rune can still be recycled for Power. Your Legend, Starry-Eyed Songstress: "As an additional cost to play a spell, you may exhaust me and three friendly units to reduce the cost of that spell by [2]." Reach 8 by the end of your next turn: take B today, and still hold it when their turn ends.

How to play
  • Move: drag ready units onto a battlefield (or click units, then click where they go). They wait there, faded, until you press Confirm in the panel on the right — units that fight together must move together.
  • Runes: playing a card pays from them on its own. To float Energy or Power first, click a rune: Tap gives Energy, Recycle gives Power.
  • Cards: drag a card from your hand onto its target, or click it and then click the glowing target. The play waits in the panel on the right until you confirm it (Esc cancels).
  • Abilities:click your Legend (one click uses its ability), Gear, or a unit's ✧ badge.
  • Point at any card to see it large; right-click to read it. Hint, Undo and Retry are at the top.
