The Third Step

You're on 5. Viktor is on 7 and holds both battlefields: a Sprite (3) at Rockfall Path (A), a Recruit (1) at Startipped Peak (B) — the Sprite is Temporary[Temporary] and dies as his turn starts, but if his Recruit still holds B then, that Hold wins it. He kept three runes up, and Wages of Pain is in his list (Action[Action], 3 Energy: deal 3 to a unit at a battlefield). Yasuo, Windrider (4, Ganking[Ganking]; "The third time I move in a turn, you score 1 point") is at base, and Unforgiven ("[2], Exhaust[T]: Move a friendly unit to or from your base") is Ready. In hand: Last Breath (3 + [C][C], Action[Action]: "Ready a friendly unit. It deals damage equal to its Might to an enemy unit at a battlefield."), Defy (1 + Calm, Reaction[Reaction]: counter a spell that costs no more than [4] and [C]), Astral Heron and Guardian of the Passage. Six ready runes. Two Conquers only get you to 7. Find the 8th.

• Move: drag ready units onto a battlefield (or click units, then click where they go). They wait there, faded, until you press Confirm in the panel on the right — units that fight together must move together.
• Runes: playing a card pays from them on its own. To float Energy or Power first, click a rune: Tap gives Energy, Recycle gives Power.
• Cards: drag a card from your hand onto its target, or click it and then click the glowing target. The play waits in the panel on the right until you confirm it (Esc cancels).
• Abilities:click your Legend (one click uses its ability), Gear, or a unit's ✧ badge.
• Point at any card to see it large; right-click to read it. Hint, Undo and Retry are at the top.
