Chapter 1 · Lesson 4 of 5

Zones

A zone is a place a card can be. Where a card is decides what it can do and who can look at it.

Public means anyone can look. Private means only you can. Cards always go to their owner's zones: your trash is yours, and your opponent's trash is theirs.

Quick check

You finish playing a spell. Where does it go?

Quick check

What can your opponent know about your hand?

Quick check

You haven't drawn a single card. Where is your Chosen Champion?

Predict

On your opponent's side, which of these can you look through?

Make your guess, then play the drill to find out.

To draw is to move the top card of your Main Deck into your hand. Some cards draw by themselves: "When I move, draw 1" happens when that unit moves. Try it: draw a card by moving a unit, play it, and take the battlefield.

Check the Deck

  1. You're on 7 and B is already scored. A is empty. Your Void Drone is tired, so it can't move yet. Your hand holds only Apprentice Smith (2), which you don't need. You know the top card of your Main Deck is Forbidden Technique (2). Your Stellacorn Herder at B says "When I move, draw 1." Move the Herder home to your base to draw that card, then use it on the Drone and send the Drone to A. You can pay for one 2-cost card.

    Need a hint?

Drag Stellacorn Herder from B to your base to draw. Then play Forbidden Technique on Void Drone and drag the Drone to A.
