Damage
In a Combat, each side adds up the Might of all its units there. That total is the damage it deals to the other side.
- The attacker's player splits their damage among the defenders first. Then the defender's player splits theirs among the attackers.
- A unit dies when its damage reaches its Might. Each unit must get all the damage it needs to die before you move on to the next. Extra damage after the last kill is wasted.
- All the damage lands at the same time: a unit that dies in the fight still deals its damage.
- When the fight is over, all damage heals, on every unit.
- Whoever still has units there controls the battlefield. If the defenders survive, your surviving attackers go back to your base.
- After a fight you can send more units to the same battlefield: that starts a new Showdown, and a new Combat if anyone's still there.
So 4 damage against a 2-Might and a 3-Might unit can kill only one of them, and you pick which. (The Daring Poro waiting at B has [Assault]. It doesn't matter here; the next lesson explains it.)
- Laurent Bladekeeper: 3 Might.

- Noxus Hopeful: 4 Might. Bigger than either of your units alone.

Your 3-Might and 2-Might units attack a single 4-Might defender. How much damage do you deal?
Your Laurent Bladekeeper (3 Might) and Demacian Diplomat (2) attack Noxus Hopeful (4) together. What happens?
Make your guess, then play the drill to find out.
Peak Guardian (5) and Demacian Diplomat (2) attack Flame Chompers (3) and Faithful Manufactor (2). Who's left?
Make your guess, then play the drill to find out.
A 5-Might unit takes 3 damage in a fight and survives. What happens to that damage?
