Power and Domains
Power comes in six colours called Domains, and runes come in the same six. Recycle a Fury rune and you get Fury Power. Recycle a Mind rune and you get Mind Power.
A card's Power cost names the Domain it needs. Gemcraft Seer costs 3 Energy and Mind Power, so you need a Mind rune to recycle. A Fury rune will not do. Energy has no colour, so any rune can pay that part.
- Gemcraft Seer: 3 Energy and 1 Mind Power. Only a Mind rune can pay the Mind.

- Daughter of the Void, a Legend: it adds a rainbow [C] you can spend on spells.

- Carnivorous Snapvine: 5 Energy and two Body Power. Two Power means two different Body runes; one rune only makes 1 Power.

- A rainbow [C] in a cost means Power of any Domain. Any rune can pay it.
- A rainbow [C] that a card adds, like your Legend in Kai'Sa's deck, is wild Power. It pays any Domain, and you never pick one.
- Cards with no Power cost, like Flame Chompers, can be paid with any runes at all.
So before you recycle, check the Domain. Recycling the wrong colour loses a rune and still leaves the cost unpaid.
